A NON-DENOMINATIONAL CHURCH IN KUWAIT

Rise of the anti-Christ

The spirit of anti-Christ

When people are not willing to listen to sound doctrine, they have the spirit of anti-Christ (1 John 2:18-19). Anyone who denies the divinity of Jesus or having denied Jesus denies the Father also, such a person has the spirit of an anti-Christ (1 John 2:22-23). Anyone who does not believe in the incarnation of Jesus also has the spirit of an anti-Christ (1 John 4:3).

We have overcome the anti-Christ

The Spirit of God that lives within us has overcome the anti-Christ. Therefore, we also have overcome the anti-Christ. Anyone who listens to the sound doctrine has the Spirit of God within him, but those who reject the sound doctrine has the spirit of error within them (1 John 4:4-6).

The seven churches

In the book of Revelation, Jesus spoke of the state of the seven churches during the end times. The church at Ephesus has left its first love (Rev. 2:2,4-5). The church at Smyrna is a synagogue of Satan (Rev. 2:9). The church at Pergamos practices the doctrine of Balaam and the doctrine of Nicolaitans making it the seat of Satan (Rev. 2:13). The church at Thyatira is putting up with Jezebel who seduces the servants of God to practice immorality and idolatry (Rev.2:20). The church at Sardis claims itself to be alive but it is dead (Rev. 3:1). The church at Philadelphia is the only church among the seven that is right before God. It will be protected during the tribulation (Rev.3:9-10). The church at Laodicea is quite comfortable doing their own stuff. They are neither cold nor hot. They will be spewed out of Jesus' mouth (Rev.3:15).

After Jesus was resurrected, the disciples asked Jesus if he is going to restore the kingdom to Israel to which Jesus told them that it is not for them to know the time or the season when the Father is going to act. As for them, Jesus says that they will be filled with power and they shall be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and throughout the world (Acts 1:6-8). This signifies that the Father will take appropriate action depending on whether the church is going to use its power or if its going to shut itself up from the outside world.

The power that God gives to his church is such that the gates of hell shall not be able to prevail against it and whatever action it takes whether binding or loosing shall be done so in heaven (Mat.16:18-19).

The power is also such that the persecution that comes against the church shall be turned into a testimony and the saints would be given the wisdom to speak to the authorities which they cannot resist (Luk.21:12-15). Even though hatred and betrayel continues, not a hair of our head would perish (Luk. 21:16-18).

Take Charge of the situations

The Bible says that there is a time for everything under heaven but we are called to exercise on the bad times and turn it around (Ecc.3:10). God has already placed a mechanism to change this world in our heart (Ecc.3:11). Psa.115:16 says that the heaven belongs to the Lord, but the earth he has given to the children of men. It is left to us what we should do with this world. 1 John 5:4 says that it our faith that overcomes the world.

How does faith work?

In John 2:1-11, even though Jesus had told his mother that his time to do the miracle had not come, it did come instantly when she told the servants, "Do whatever he tells you". That was faith.

In Mat.15:21-28, even though Jesus discouraged the syro-phoenician woman by saying, "the bread of the children should not be given to dogs", Jesus did heal her daughter when she said, "Even the dog eats the crumbs that fall from the master's table". That was faith.

In Mat.8:5-10, the centurion did not wait for Jesus to come to his house to heal his servant. He told Jesus to speak the Word and believed that his servant would be healed. That was faith.

The Church has failed

In Mat.10:23, Jesus told his discplies that if they are persecuted in one city, they should go to another. Jesus also said that they will not be able to accomplish it until Jesus' return signifying that the church would fail in its mission.

The church is supposed to do the Father's business as Jesus said in Luk.2:49 but ends up like the people in the days of Noah: eating, drinking, and marrying (Mat. 24:36-39).

In fact, the church would fail to such an extent that in Luk. 18:2-8 Jesus questions if he can find faith on the earth during his second coming.

The fall of Church and the Rise of anti-Christ

2 Thes. 2:3 says that the falling away would happen first, and then the man of sin will be revealed.

2 Thes. 2:6-7 says that it is the church that is allowing iniquity to flourish which causes the anti-Christ to rise.

When Evil reaches its threshold

1 John 5:16-17 says that there are two kinds of sin. There is a sin that can be prayed for and there is another kind of sin which cannot be prayed for. This signifies that God's grace is not unlimited. It limits itself at a certain point.

In Rom.1:18-32, we see that there is a time when God would give up on people who practice unrighteousness despite repeated warnings.

1 Tim.4:1-2 says that it is possible for the people's conscience to be seared with a hot iron.

The judgment of God

The Bible gives some strong words against the false prophets (2 Pet. 2:1-3,12-22). In verse 20 and 21 it says, "It is better for them not to have known the way of righteousness...".

Jude 1:4 speaks of those who turn the grace of God into lasciviousness. Jude 1:17-19 speaks of people who would mock because they walk in their senses rather than the Holy Spirit.

It is important to read the following judgments passed:

Heb. 10:26-27 - If we sin wilfully...

Heb. 6:4-6 - if we fall away after having known the power of God...
